Icmp responder ->

• Designed and developed a Internet Control Message Protocol (ICMP) echo responder module as part of the client’s pluggable packet path architecture to establish reachability from a client to other hosts over the overlay network. Worked with an existing mature cross-platform codebase in C++ across Windows, MacOS, Linux, Android.

• Allowed us to determine whether a remote peer is active and reachable, even if a local firewall is operating.

Internal nmap like tool ->

• Designed and developed an nmap like internal tool to scan the overlay network from a client and find inconsistencies between control layer information and the actual network.

• Also provided information on the number of clients which have firewall running or are inconsistent with control Layer information.

Manifest driven diagnostics

• Added ability to select which tests and subtests to run at run-time through a JSON manifest file.

• This enabled future ease for remote engineers to diagnose a client in case of troubleshooting.

Developed SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol) support for TWAMP (Two Way Active Measurement Protocol) client - A measurement protocol service.

Designed and developed a flow monitoring service for linux on Juniper PTX routers called JFlow in C. Developed modules including Control Plane, Live debugging support, Logging facilities.

Worked in a multi-threaded environment solving critical memory and synchronization issues using help of tools like gdb and valgrind.

Developed and automated unit tests in perl to prevent introduction of regression bugs.
