### Staff Software Engineer (Optimus+Robotaxi) @ Tesla
Jan 2023 – Present | Palo Alto, California, United States
- Launched both robotaxi and optimus at the “We, Robot” launch day
- Lead engineer for Tesla's robotics products. Specifically the connectivity backbone, backend telemetry services, motion capture systems, firmware updating processes, remote access services, intervention services, and video streaming systems.
- Founded and led the remote tele-operation team
- Designed and built the VR video streaming system featured in many optimus videos
- Architected all of the kubernetes clusters used by autopilot and robotic backends
- Oncall for Autopilot's telemetry services
- Most of my work is still under NDA for the robotics and robotaxi portion of this role

### Staff Site Reliability Engineer (Vehicle Backends) @ Tesla
Jan 2020 – Jan 2023 | Palo Alto, California, United States
- Built the device telemetry services that tesla’s products still use.
- Developed and managed our current service and device public key infrastructure (PKI) -- including the systems related to factory issuance, validation, renewal, and revocation
- Lead oncall for all backend services that the vehicle, mobile clients and factory provisioning stations communicate with.
- Designed and built the current cloud and on-prem infrastructure for kafka, kubernetes, prometheus, cortex (monitoring), cert-manager (certificate management), and some CICD.
- Architected numerous backend services including the core telemetry systems and the supercharger availability services (among others!).
- Expanded our services to a full, multi-region (including China!), globally distributed infrastructure with high availability (previously a single colocation datacenter).
- Hired, trained, and mentored all SRE interns + some full time engineers.

- Lead the development of Firebase Authentication on different platforms.
- Lead the development of an external monitoring system for Firebase BaaS customers.
