I had the privilege of working on the amazing team at Nest where I touched many of their early products including Thermostats, Protect (smoke detectors), and the first generation Nest Cam.

I worked on various projects and teams in the real-time communications space, including work with RCS-e video sharing, VoLTE video calling, BBM Video, and Print To Go. My time was typically split 60/40 between architecture, design, project management responsibilities and coding.

One of the original WiFi developers at RIM, I worked as a lead software developer responsible for the WLAN driver on all BlackBerry handhelds. On the hardware side, I worked extensively with the design teams participating in new design review, bring up, and diagnostics. On the software side, I had extensive exposure to the protocol stack, core driver, and chipset firmware across a multitude of host processors and 802.11 chipsets. I was the RIM expert on SDIO, and the WLAN lead for battery life and driver throughput optimization.
