Developing games to help students conceptually understand mathematics and achieve computational fluency. The games have a deep integration of neuroscientific learning principles, effective pedagogy, and engaging game-play design.

My software development as Snowy Penguin is a combination of personally designed and created proprietary Snowy Penguin apps along with freelance work in which I develop custom software solutions for clients.

Notable Snowy Penguin apps I've created include:

• iNattou (i納豆), an entertainment app for the Japanese market, has been a regular on the Entertainment Top 100 apps since its release in 2009, reaching #7 on the list. iNattou has been well received and has been featured on national television, along with magazines, and websites in Japan.

• Snowy Penguin’s children’s apps, “ABC Animal Spin”, “Colors and Shapes Spin”, and “Counting

Numbers Spin” have been bringing a fun educational experience to children in over 40 countries around the world, reaching top 100 status in many of the countries. (iOS and Android)

• “Beat the Kanji” is an educational music rhythm game for learning the kanji characters of the Japanese language writing system.

• eLearning (software product simulations, quiz systems, LMS integration)

As a member of the iOS team of the RPG studio I helped improve the mobile game client code base for three of GREE's hit titles.
