Analyzed requirements and estimated LoE in close collaboration with product and delivery on a multimillion-dollar Department of Defense contract. Independently designed and implemented features, consistently delivering on-time solutions individually and on an agile team. Prototyped React-based UIs in Storybook from Figma comps, styled with CSS modules. Routed pages with React Router. Built forms with complex Yup validations, called the API via React Query. Built API endpoints with Swagger. Wrote business logic handlers, service objects, and models in Golang. Developed unit, integration, and end-to-end tests in the full stack to ensure application reliability. Migrated safe and accurate updates to 40,000+ critical records. Produced video documentation to aid in acceptance testing. Reviewed dozens of Github pull requests to ensure code cleanliness and adherence to best practices. Strategized pragmatic improvements for product health, including bug reporting, posting CircleCI errors back to GitHub pull requests, scaffolding and migrating improvements to test factories, and streamlining AWS log searching. Created documentation to ease onboarding and promote engineering coherence and understanding. Deployed and fixed deployments to multiple environments. Handled high-pressure on-call requests in direct contact with client representatives, strengthening client relations. Updated dependencies affecting over 40 engineers. Presented feature work to 100+ government stakeholders. Evangelized, built tools, and engineered fixes for 508/WCAG2.1AA compliance on 3 applications, including for the Department of Energy. Strengthened pairing among engineers by 20%, enabling cohesive team collaboration.

Managed ~20 web applications simultaneously, primarily as the sole developer on each. Weighed clients’ small budgets against requirements, design, timelines, and best practices to make recommendations toward feature development. Wrote pixel-perfect templates in CSS and numerous frameworks that maximized client flexibility and maintainability while respecting design integrity. Designed and prototyped loosely-defined web animations for senior design approval when InVision and Sketch lacked the capability to mock them. Architected and built Housing Works’ Intranet, a visually rich, responsive application that around 1000 volunteers and employees use daily to manage internal communication and forms. Integrated Housing Works’ existing user base into a user-friendly backend. Engineered a plugin that eagerly translated new and existing, editable text content on Housing Works’ Healthcare site to Spanish, providing information and access to countless potential users. Planned, advocated for, and converted Governors Island’s 5 event types into one, allowing the client to manage complex events, exhibitions, activities, etc., efficiently and intuitively. Handled secure, compliant money transfer using Stripe, Square, and Authorize.net. Migrated the James Beard Foundation’s database of restaurants, chefs, and awards annually. Designed the data structure and built a multi-page form for an application system for the Langeloth Foundation, integrating Craft, Vue, and Salesforce. Set code standards, mentored engineers, and developed Salesforce workflows to build well-styled PDF and email generators for Langeloth’s complex data-keeping and notification requirements. Ushered forward a long-dormant rebuild for Melville House, coordinating with the Penguin Random House API. Internal projects included ImageMagick-backed emoji generator butmakeit.party, and a weather plugin with OpenWeather API.

Constructed intricate UIs, with customized maps, e-commerce, and calendars for numerous nonprofits and arts organizations. Improved visibility of user engagement with Google Tag Manager and Analytics. Developed an image-editing application for the National Latina Institute using Processing.js.
