Volunteered at local food bank during covid. Responsibilities included:
- delivered food packages to underprivileged families
- helped organise said food packages to meet requirements
- communicate with the local community to help spread word of anybody in need of the service
The main reason I did this work was that a lot of school children who rely on free school meals were unable to receive them, or were given unsubstantial meals. This food bank specialised in helping families in such scenarios, and I was able to be one of the faces helping them.
