Maverick was an iOS and web app where girls could challenge each other to try something new, and a place for them to connect with role models. My responsibilities included:
•Created Node.js AWS Lambda services to work with our PHP API, iOS app, databases, and third-party moderation services.
•Implemented a gamification progression engine using AWS microservices, SQS and SNS with MongoDB to drive engagement.
•Created in-house admin tools w/ JavaScript/React that allowed customization of assets and changes to Mongo & MySQL DBs.
•Introduced and integrated a server-side rendered JavaScript/React app with the existing PHP/Zend web app.
•Customized design and admin features of a Wordpress theme for the marketing website, and integrated it with React and PHP apps.
•Implemented third-party integrations with Leanplum, Segment and Google Analytics to gain metrics on specific user activity.
•Divided and delegated tasks to contracted developers to meet the tight deadlines of our initial product launch.
