• Design leader and manager of 2 of the 3 product verticals.

• Managed 3 designers who took the helm of design lead on multiple parts of the products.

• Planned and strategized with product managers (PMs) and leaders on product roadmaps.

• Participated and won 2 out of 2 hackathons.

• Lead designer on integrations.

• Created documentation and plans for the expanding design team, which grew to 13.

• Founding designer with the tasks of building the products’ UX, design system, and team at a high-growth proptech/insurtech Silicon Valley startup.

• Grew team from 1 to 5 in 1.5 years, including 2 senior designers, UX researcher, and VP of Design.

• Principal designer and design manager of the company’s core offering of a machine-learning enabled title production system. With the help of the growing team, we designed and validated the information architecture, design components, UX, and visual design for this dense platform that consisted of ML/UX best practices, comms, doc management, and complex workflows. This work included multiple user roles, 4 PMs, and dozens of engineers.

• Created design system Figma library with the help of an outside agency.

• Lead designer on all integrations and early stages of the home owner experience.

• Laid foundations for a high-performing design team. This included a collaborative and inquisitive culture built on empathy, good file hygiene, external advocacy of the design team, and future planning.

I began freelancing with Yodlee in April 2012, was brought on full-time in Marketing in April 2013, then transferred to Product in June 2015.

• Create user-friendly, engaging, and effective digital products and prototypes for end users and B2B clients in the financial sector.

• Generate responsive design concepts, demos, and specs that fulfill project goals and requirements. Articulate the trade-offs between concepts and make recommendations.

• Facilitate, evaluate, and integrate product feedback from user testing, internal cross-functional teams, and clients.

• Drive products toward achieving business goals by collaborating with Product Managers, Designers, and Engineers to optimize for customer needs, business constraints, and technological realities. Advocate best practices for UX and for the product.

• Evaluate and set reasonable expectations for deliverables. Communicate and escalate issues or risks as appropriate. When necessary, reset expectations by engaging decision makers at appropriate levels.
