In the Search team, I delivered a rich search experience where I:
•kept latency low by considering trade-offs in implementation options while supporting
40,000 requests per second
•implemented a data refinement step in Python to uphold a high standard of data
quality
•contributed new features following an "away team" model, gathering requirements from
partner teams.
Later, when working with Whole Foods, I completed an end-to-end migration of a Java/
Sprint Boot web service into AWS where I:
•documented my design choices including trade-offs considered and supporting factors
•containerized our app and used ECS for compute, VPC Private Links for connectivity
to other dependencies, S3, CloudWatch, and DynamoDB
•utilized CDK in TypeScript to model infrastructure in code
•completed security and architecture review for the application
•implemented build automation and CI/CD in the new platform
•improved unit test coverage.
