• Recruited, onboarded, and managed over 12 engineers from junior to staff levels as part of the Application Frameworks team — as well as assisting in recruiting, mentorship, and onboarding for multiple engineering teams.

• Ran and managed all processes and meetings for the remote team, including social and team bonding activities.

• Decided and wrote the strategic direction for the entire Platforms organization to enhance speed of delivery while maintaining security and reliability.

• Regularly provided feedback at larger engineering and company directions/messaging.

• Became a notable fire-fighter in several incidents due to ability to organize and coordinate engineers on several tasks, ability to navigate codebase/tooling, and ability to debug based on limited information.

• Ideated and introduced foundational technologies such as Temporal for teams to build on and utilize with the intention of replacing ingrown, limited functionality systems.

• Assumed the responsibility of DRI for the main production database (and all related operations and systems)

• Discovered the “root cause” of one of the largest production incidents in company history, and decided on/implemented several mitigating actions to prevent recurrence.

• Became a go-to expert on the frontend React codebase and was a sought-after code reviewer for notable features. Partnered with staff level engineers on framework improvements.

• Implemented the capability to customize Bolt’s checkout messaging that could (and was) later extended for internationalization. This included internal capabilities to manage this messaging.

• Ran several A/B tests to evaluate the impact to checkout conversion.
