Previously, I've spent summers at PayPal, where I built and deployed a model to flag suspicious phones used by consumers, and at DynPro, where I built an analytics platform and query engine. I have also interned at the Indian Institute of Science, where I developed privacy-preserving software tools, working with stakeholders from 50 city councils. I graduated from BITS Pilani in 2024, majoring in Computer Science with a minor in Data Science. I'm excited to join the industry and work on solving enticing problems! Jan 2025 – Jan 2025 | Raleigh, North Carolina, United States - Built an internal data analytics platform for the company using Go, and added new functionalities to integrate data from multiple sources, including Snowflake and PostgreSQL. - Architected and implemented a system to convert natural language questions into executable SQL queries with automated visualizations and graphs using Python and LLMs, enabling non-technical users to build dashboards independently. - Unlocked $36,000 in yearly cost savings through the development and enhancement of this in-house analytics platform. ### Software Engineer Intern @ Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Jan 2024 – Jan 2024 | Bengaluru, Karnataka, India - Worked at IISc's Center of Data for Public Good, on implementing differential privacy in real-world use cases in the agricultural and medical domains. - Designed a synthetic data generator for large low-dimensional datasets, which captured the distribution of the original surveyed data while ensuring that the generated data was differentially private. - Developed a software solution to compute differentially private statistics and histograms from a dataset. The solution also implemented different DP-adjacent anonymization techniques to release an anonymized dataset. The overall solution was deployed to over 50 metropolitan bodies across the nation. ### Data Scientist Intern @ PayPal Jan 2023 – Jan 2023 | Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India - Worked in the Global Fraud Solutions team on building a model to flag suspicious user phones, preventing account takeovers during login events. - Developed a rule-based approach that improved the existing process, leading to 21% more phones being found. Designed and optimized a pipeline for the end-to-end deployment of the model, reducing running time by 88%, and also ensuring data consistency and model explainability. - Prevented losses of an average $2 million/month by effectively identifying suspicious activity. ### Research Assistant @ BITS Pilani, Hyderabad Campus Jan 2022 – Jan 2023 | Hyderabad, Telangana, India Carried out research across different departments, including: - At the Department of Computer Science on an approach to information extraction from legal sentences. Our work was accepted at the NLLP workshop, and presented at EMNLP 2024. - At the Department of Economics and Finance on simulating a Free-Trade Agreement between multiple countries in the Indo-Pacific region. Used historical global trade and tariff data to identify key metrics of success for any deal, and quantified tariff reductions that obtained positive outcomes for all countries involved. ### Teaching Assistant @ Computer Science & Information Systems @ BITS Pilani Hyderabad Campus Jan 2022 – Jan 2022 | Hyderabad, Telangana, India Assisted in the instruction of a course on Discrete Structures in Computer Science (CS F222), taught to roughly 250 second-year students. Worked alongside the course team to prepare course material including tutorial sheets, solutions, assignments, and quizzes. ### ML Engineer Intern @ Electrono Solutions Pvt. Ltd.
