• Directing development of APPS Platform at Samsung SmartThings. There are 13 ser-
   vices that I lead to design new features, develop and maintain.
• Architected zero-downtime migration from Cassandra to DynamoDB, redesigning wide-
   column schemas to single-table design for performance and cost efficiency.
• Designed and developed a library that provided dualReads(read from both primary(source of truth)
   database and secondary database alongwith read repairs) and
   dualWrites and helps in migrating data with zero downtime. The library reports mis-
   matches if the records in the two databases are different.
• Built serverless event streaming platform (Lambda + Kinesis) processing real-time
  smart home events for Alexa and Google Home at scale.
• Led cross-continental architecture alignment (US/Korea) for voice-controlled ecosys-
  tems, defining API contracts enabling sub-100ms response.
• Led room presence detection service using XGBoost ML models serving multi-region
  production traffic across US, EU, and Asia-Pacific.
• Designed high-throughput Kafka-based device monitoring service processing events
  for liveness detection, battery alerting, and real-time device state over SSE; authored
  custom partition rebalancing via low-level Kafka consumer APIs to sustain events at
  scale.
• Engineered core OCF device control plane – system of record for device registration and
  command execution across 4 regional shards, processing 205M+ daily events with sub-
  ms lookups via multi-tier caching.
