Summer Internship project performed within the LEADS: Large-Scale Elastic Architecture for Data-as-a-Service FP7 EU Research project (318809)
The objective of the internship was the performance evaluation of Apache Storm with StreamMine3G. Familiarized with these two systems, auxiliary frameworks like Apache Zookeeper and distributed shell tools. Developed the benchmarking suite and carried out performance evaluation experiments on a cluster environment, which helped understand the impact of design on system performance such as CPU and Network utilization, event throughput and latency.

Summer Internship project performed within the LEADS: Large-Scale Elastic Architecture for Data-as-a-Service FP7 EU Research project (318809)
The objective of the internship was the performance evaluation of two Event Stream Processing (ESP) systems Apache S4 and Samza. It involved the development of a benchmarking suite with respect to CPU and Network utilization, event throughput and latency. This was followed by the execution of performance measurement experiments on a 50 node cluster environment and compilation of results thereof.
