Jan 2016 – Jan 2016 | San Francisco Bay Area Worked with Hotwire's Mobile Lodging and Growth Teams on projects specifically to increase user re-engagement with Hotwire Developed two major projects: 1) Gas Stations around Drop-off location for Hotwire Car Customers This feature was built to improve the in-trip experience for customers who rent cars using Hotwire's app. A notification would be sent one hour before drop-off time to remind customers to refuel before returning the car. They could also see the actual gas stations(with a detailed price list) around the drop-off locations around once they tapped on the notification. They could then choose a gas station and then navigate to it. The usage was extended for logged in users. The feature went live on the Android app on 4th August 2016. 2) Traveler's Profile on Hotwire's App The motivation behind the project was to create the kernel for re-engagement and take Hotwire beyond transactions. This was to be done by building a traveler identity for Hotwire customers. I started off by performing a benchmarking analysis to find what competitors had to offer. Then I designed the MVP(Version 1) to be developed in 3 months of my internship. I also did product discovery to decide on features for the roadmap in the coming quarters. The special challenge with this project was that it was developed using a new technology called React Native and we successfully managed to integrate it with Native Apps. ### Software Engineer Intern @ Rolocule Games Pvt.
