Led the design and development of a new microservice for data archival to cloud storage, a core component for the Rubrik Security Cloud SaaS platform. Solved for metadata management, scalability, response times, resiliency, RBAC based multi-tenancy and standardized API's. End to end ownership of the service across front end UX, backend, datapath, deployment, operational readiness, and support tools/playbooks.

Developed key components of the backend infrastructure and API endpoints using a tech stack spanning - Go, gRPC, Scala, Python, MySQL, GraphQL, Docker and Kubernetes. Improved parts of the datapath of on-prem storage servers based on the techstack - Scala, C++ and CockroachDB.

Mentored a new high performing team in the development of the first version of archival service for the Rubrik SaaS platform. 

Collaborated with the leads of other services, the DevOps team and program management, and played a key role in successfully deploying the company's first SaaS data management platform.

Collaborated with Product Management to define user experience, milestone plans, service rollout strategy and customer engagement. Successfully onboarded 100 beta customers followed by general availability.

Scalable Replication Infrastructure: Led the design and implemented key pieces of ONTAP kernel process using C and C++. Developed a foundational control plane addressing scale, performance, event management, concurrency, cache management, error handling, filesystem I/O, restart mechanisms, snapshot rotation and checkpointing.
