The solution was published in a clinical textbook - A COPD Primer - Page 138, and it was recommended to use on a larger scale. On behalf of the school of design, I collaborated with 15 clinicians to address the low drug usage (0-80%) problem among COPD patients. Shadowing the patients and healthcare providers through each touchpoint, I delivered the solutions addressing the learning capability, awareness issue, and communication issues within the overall service design, including the Visual Pillbox solution. During the process, I introduced design thinking to the healthcare providers, applied design methodologies to COPD treatment.
