 -  Led the container storage platform and integration with Hyperflex. Implemented the container storage interface (HX-CSI) to expose hyperflex backed persistent volumes for Kubernetes environment.

### Founding Engineer @ Springpath (Acquired by Cisco)
Jan 2012 – Jan 2017 | San Francisco Bay Area
- Member of the founding engineering team.
- Helped design the overall distributed filesystem architecture from ground-up suited for better scale and performance.
- Designed and implemented key parts of the Hyperflex distributed file system around data caching and persistence which involved implementing the distributed write back cache and de-staging the data to the capacity tier.
- Designed and implemented the native clone and snapshot technology. 
- Designed and implemented filesystem namespace operations.
- Designed and implemented the core of the disaster recovery and backup solution which involved writing an optimized diff engine in the filesystem for incremental backup and replication clone framework.
- Implemented the VMware vStorage API for Array Integration (VAAI) NAS plugin
- Worked closely with Cisco solution team to get the validated design which helped with OEM relationship.

- Worked on the virtual disk and snapshot library.
- Delivered resumable snapshot consolidation which was one of the key pain-point for users on snapshot deletion. 
- Improved virtual disk I/O performance.
- Founding member of the vSAN team. Worked on the distributed layer of vSAN.
- Designed and implemented the object library(objlib) that exposes notion of storage blobs (vSAN/VVOL) to the VMWare stack.
