# Sohrab Mohajerin (Ayrom) > Design Innovation Strategy . Industrial Design . Product Design (UX/UI) . Mechanical Design Location: Pleasanton, California, United States Profile: https://flows.cv/sohrabmohajerinayrom Right now our focus is on solutions for future design technology. This means to a certain extent scrutinizing trends and developments in the past few decades up to now, not only in such areas as design, but also in science and technology, particularly the Theoretical Approach, since that is where it all starts. This will require skills at individual level because, in this environment, the industry experience does not necessarily provide the best expertise. It also requires harsh self discipline on the part of the individual well beyond those practiced in any school, industry, business, or corporation. In other words the individual is the sole creator of this environment, and the only one who fully understands its language. Here lies the threshold where art becomes science, and science, art, and where meaning becomes knowledge, and knowledge, meaning. Idealistically, the next step would be to develop certain techniques for applicable approaches; that is from resulting new ideas, concepts, or theories to actual products. In this approach or process, the individual has to be creative enough not to lose balance, and be able to find appropriate solutions, and manage the project through useful resources. However, sometimes for some products, specially for those of commercial and consumer categories, it might be reasonable to achieve the common benchmarks in all the important aspects first, and once that has been arrived at, then move ahead with the innovative solutions. Usually, today, besides the Individual approach mentioned above there are three other factors that directly relate to Design: 1- [Corporate] Identity 2- Marketing 3- R&D. Everything else like Sustainability, Logistics, Accounting, etc. fall into sub-categories. Of these three the latter, meaning R&D, is more in focus because it has to rely on well known or well created and developed methodologies. However, 'Method', contrary to popular understanding, applies to a different class of Ideas than 'Approach' since it is restricted to a framework, whereas Approach is not; therefore they are in contrast. The only thing they have in common is their becoming in time. That is why in our opinion Approach takes precedence in Design over everything else. ## Work Experience ### Industrial Design / Product Design / Biomimicry @ ufoforce Jan 2008 – Present | United States Research & Development for New Technologies (Design-Tech) | Modes: Redefining Standards in Theoretical & Applicable Philosophies/Ideation/Strategy | Concept Development & Design:Industrial/Product/Bionic Design (Biomimicry)/Digital Prototyping (2D/3D) | Design Prop Tools for Global Sustainability | Design Contextual Integrity Analysis: Technological Context & Technological Overlap | Design Methods and Strategies for AI Integrated/Sensor Integrated Design ## Education ### Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Design (Industrial/Product) UCLA ### Master's degree Certificate Biomimicry in Industrial Design/Biomimicry Istituto Europeo di Design ### Design in Industrial Design/Interaction Domus Academy ## Contact & Social - LinkedIn: https://linkedin.com/in/sohrab-mohajerin-ayrom-775517103 - Portfolio: https://ufoforce.com --- Source: https://flows.cv/sohrabmohajerinayrom JSON Resume: https://flows.cv/sohrabmohajerinayrom/resume.json Last updated: 2026-04-13
