I'm a Product Designer who loves autonomy and working closely with PMs and Devs. I'm currently working at ISN, a construction technology company, as a Product Designer II, where I'm leading the design of a mobile app that helps construction workers manage their tasks, documents, and compliance. I recently designed an end-to-end AI feature for the app and am currently managing multiple projects simultaneously. Previously, I worked at the New York Times as a Product Designer where I designed a 0-1 feature that reinforces Trust amongst the readers, redesigned a section of the New York Times' homepage that receives nearly 5 million views per day, and created a localized design system for the Articles team—the force that brings you all the New York Times articles. An MS HCI/d grad, Indiana University Bloomington gave me the opportunity to do a bunch of sponsored Product Design projects with Salesforce and Best Buy. A couple of my passion projects that I thoroughly enjoyed doing include designing a News Literacy Toolkit within Apple News and a Phishing Simulation Tool collaborating with Product Designers from the industry on both. My strongest suite of design skills include problem-solving; exploring new divergent ideas, converging and building iteratively for creating the optimum user experience; creating intuitive, engaging and visually appealing cross-platform interfaces through rapid prototyping; and presenting designs cross-functionally with clear articulation of design rationale; a strong understanding of different research techniques to glean data and distill insights; and collaborating closely with the engineers, product managers and researchers deploying the shared vocabulary. I’m passionate about designing products that empower users and boost businesses. I’m looking for Product Designer positions where I can deepen my understanding of business and technical feasibility by working closely with product managers to define requirements and identify opportunities and with engineers to ship high-quality products. I’m also looking forward to increased autonomy in responsibilities where I own design problems from initial concept through shipping and beyond. I believe such career goals will help me learn to proficiently leverage design for solving problems and shaping products (outcome) while understanding how design, business, and technology can effectively work in tandem (process).
