A bit about my career journey: I studied Psychology and Linguistics at Princeton University. For my thesis, I built a digital app that I could deploy on Amazon’s mTurk and also use with child participants on an iPad. I LOVED iterating and evolving that project to facilitate further experimentation and functionality. Eventually, I found myself teaching in NYC public schools right as the pandemic turned everything digital. I guided my class through a pilot project with Intel for Education, and I ended up being the lead teacher on the project. Intel showcased me as a featured teacher on their blog and I realized that I couldn’t shake this passion for coding. I decided to enter Hack Reactor's 3 month Software Engineering Immersive where I spent 1000+ hours coding solo, pair programming and within groups of 4-8 people on several projects. Currently, I am a passionate full-stack software engineer who enjoys problem-solving, web-scale optimization work, and systems strategizing. I'm always interested in learning something new! Additionally created a staging environment and a testing interface to allow for proper integration into the existing application. - Created a question serving algorithm that would reduce duplicate question serving, and has since served millions of questions to users. - Pinpointed and removed bottlenecks in existing architecture by using background services (Elixir GenServers) to update frequently changing records in batches. ### Software Engineer @ Personal Projects Jan 2022 – Jan 2023 -Personally architected, built, deployed and scaled a backend microservice on AWS -Deployed 3 AWS EC2 instances behind an NGINX load balancer to increase throughput of my Node Express microservice server by 2x. -Executed ETL on a large existing dataset to a PostgreSQL server to optimize complex querying and decrease query latency by 10,000x from 2000 to 0.2ms. -Implemented stress-testing through Loader.io and K6 to inform backend optimizations to reduce max response latencies from 3420ms to 982ms| 3.5 times faster under load of 500 to 1000 users. ### Lead Backend Engineer @ Personal Projects Jan 2022 – Jan 2022 -Designed and implemented a PostgreSQL schema for thousands of video games and deployment onto an AWS EC2 instance. -Constructed and managed API documentation for 20 Express endpoints, allowing for continuous integration with the front-end team. -Decreased complex SQL query latency by 150x for multiple entities. ### Lead Software Engineering Immersive Resident @ Galvanize Inc Jan 2022 – Jan 2023 -Moderated lectures on SWE topics (ie.
