Integrated with numerous Compass services to gather and present this information in clear, actionable ways. Worked with engineers, product managers, and QA across teams to gather requirements, implement features, and improve the app’s technical foundations. Primarily frontend with React/Redux and GraphQL, some Node backend. • Created features that display financial information to clients or explain financial concepts • Rearchitected app’s core data flows to decrease initial load time from ~20 seconds to ~5 seconds • Optimized the app’s build pipeline, dependencies, and assets to reduce bundle size by ~25%, build time from ~30 seconds to ~3 seconds, and enable hot-reloading while still supporting older browsers • Improved debugging tools to give testing and QA insight into the app’s financial data • Established code standards to reduce duplication, increase maintainability and performance ### Software Engineer II @ ClassPass Jan 2019 – Jan 2020 | New York, New York, United States Worked on an agile, cross functional team of 6-9 people to create new features and iterate on ClassPass’s management portal for independent gyms. Gyms used it to manage classes, process visitors, and view detailed business reports. This involved both implementing features and collaborating with managers and designers on product specs and identifying technical issues.
