• Work closely with company R&D, Product management and other internal groups to provide inputs into the design of future generation products. Participate in the Phase Review process for product development. Create and execute strategic plans to ensure that the organization is prepared to address new business goals.

• Demonstrate thought leadership to be better position, drive and inspire market creation. Conduct quantitative and qualitative market analysis including prioritizing potential markets, segments, and customers.

• Develop strategies for new market and customer segment penetration. Work cross functionally and collaboratively with Bloom’s sales, product development, customer installation group, business development and finance teams. Drive product requirements and solution roadmap working across R&D and program management.

• Licensed Professional Engineer – CA, AZ, CO, TX, NV, MA, FL, CT, MD, NM, NY (NCEES Record holder)

• Lead a team of talented Design engineers (including P.E's) to design installations of Bloom fuel cells that allow high-quality, timely and cost competitive execution.

• Continuously develop and maintain standard set of specifications for site designs which includes all aspects of “green” and “brown” installations. Develop process and successfully implement them to cut down the design throughput time from months to weeks.

• Collaborate with peers in the Installation group to ensure tight coordination and integration of all utility, regulatory, customer and permitting requirements. Have successfully implemented in all states we operate and including but not limited to OSHPD, DSA and NY (DOB).

• Implement processes and procedures to systemically improve the quality of the design process with quantifiable validation and feedback loops. Continuously work both internally and externally to bring down the $/kW quarter after quarter.

• Prepare calculations to qualify existing or new buildings for roof top PV systems, and design upgrades when necessary.

• Direct and review work of EIT's and sign/seal their finished work.

• Work cross functionally with other teams within and outside of engineering department to ensure client's needs and internal deadlines are met.

• Use AutoCAD 2D and custom software tools to prepare structural details and specifications for residential/commercial upgrades.
