Worked as part of Financial Aid management team that provides a centralized platform to view, manage and streamline Student Aid processing.
Designed and implemented Workstudy Accumulator Flink processor, which reads student awards and payroll information from Kafka stream, transforms and validates the data, triggers multiple asynchronous jobs - to CRUD these records, to trigger reporting flows.
Created a CRUD service that stores the above data into MySQL. Reporting flows process this data to the federal agency and customers in an asynchronous, decoupled manner through SNS systems. Coded using Java Spring, Flink, Kafka, MySQL and SNS.
Designed and implemented a Program flexibility Scheduled processor, that queries multiple databases to fetch student ISIR and course record information. Feeds this data to a calculation engine that re-calculates student aid, based on certain processing policies. Aid information is then sent over to internal upstreams to help in effective award packaging and disbursement. Coded in Java, Flink and Kafka.

Developed a framework called Runtime Attribute Collection Framework, which queries downstreams to get financial and descriptive attributes
of ASINs, stores them in Dynamo DB; and calls a ML model to make a prediction on whether a product should be served or removed. This framework also asynchronously relays this intelligence through SQS to multiple upstream services. Coded in Python using serverless architecture using AWS Lambdas, Step-functions, and Dynamo DB.
Designed and implemented authentication and authorization flow for Selection Economics UI โ an internal tool that needed externalization so that Vendor Managers are equipped to approve product selection recommendations. Coded in Java Spring and React JS.
