I successfully designed and implemented critical backend solutions that enhanced service reliability and customer satisfaction.
•Designed and implemented a new feature for Amazon Grocery that enabled post-order modifications. I engineered backend payment processing systems to support real-time charge adjustments and developed the corresponding frontend UX flow, resulting in a $17M reduction in global order cancellations.
•Developed a flexible auto-cancellation configuration service for regional, programmatic, and store-level control. The new service streamlined recovery workflows and reduced lost grocery inventory by ~$5M.
•Oversaw the launch of a buy online, pickup in store clothes shopping program built on my team’s platform for order management and fulfillment, which led to the streamlined user experience for over 1M+ customers.
•Developed a flexible auto-cancellation service, reducing lost grocery inventory by approximately $5M.
•Resolved a launch-blocking bug affecting 3% of third-party grocery orders globally, which saved the program ~$1M in tax-related costs.
•Implemented an end-to-end ETL pipeline that ingested and published daily order cancellation data to a RedShift database. The pipeline gave product managers and data analysts visibility into customer behavior that would shape future initiatives to reduce cancellations and increase customer retention.
