Lead the design and implementation of a service for automatic chatbot test running service from conception to production that allows bot developers to automatically test changes and increase their productivity

Lead the successful re-write & migration of CAI's chatbot analytics & metering service. Switched to the new service without downtime or production impact while migrating triple digits GBs of historic data.

Took over responsibilities of cross-service, cross-component topics from internal-facing ones like unified request tracing and message technology evaluations to external ones such as stakeholder management for their adaption of CAI.

Worked on a microservice based NLU / conversational AI platform to let users build, train and run customized chatbots. Implemented, contributed to and owned several backend services managing the lifecycle of the chatbot and the NLU model training & execution. First within a CloudFoundry/Python/Django/SAP Hana stack, later, after SAPs acquisition of Recast.AI, with an AWS +K8/RubyOnRails/Python/Postgres stack.

Took care of fulfilling corporate product requirements for compliance and security to successfully release the product.

Designed CAI's FAQ component which reduced the creation time for FAQ bots from days to minutes.

After SAPs acquisition of Recast.AI the implementation of features and best-practices to incorporate the acquired tech-stack into SAP's environment became my focus. It taught me a lot about juggling the different priorities of small start-ups and big enterprise: from (non-existing) processes to tech choices; from collaboration methods to multi-continent team setups; from stakeholder expectations towards start-ups and towards enterprise to scaling security & data safety best-practices.
