2020 — 2020
I worked with Sea Warden to advance the sustainability and transparency of farmed seafood by developing a system to help seafood farmers monitor their farms and verify collected data. I am responsible for creating and integrating text detection in photos and live video using Google Cloud Vision AI.
I have designed cloud computing architecture with Google Cloud Platform to use Google Vision AI and Node.js for the purposes of detecting text from monitoring devices and logs. Google Vision and OpenCV is used to verify text so that farms can prove their commitment to sustainable farming.

I was a software engineer intern on the Communities Template Platform team on Communities Cloud.
During this summer internship, optimized SEO data generation time for websites that support multiple languages. This reduced cron job runtimes from an order of O(n^2) to O(n), minimizing the risk that customer cron jobs would last for hours and block the customer from customizing their websites.

I was a software engineer intern in Salesforce's Commerce Cloud and was a member of the Public Cloud Infrastructure Team.
Over the summer I automated monthly bastion host releases to reduce lead time for over 2000 internal customers. This included automating bastion AWS AMI sharing and AWS encryption key sharing. I also configured continuous integration and continuous development pipelines using Jenkins and Docker to automate build and testing procedures.
Throughout this internship I also gained experience with exposing AWS Cloudwatch log groups in Terraform, engaged in Agile ceremonies, including stand-up, story pointing, sprint planning, and backlog grooming, and created and updated team and customer-facing documentation for Bastion AMI releases, Bastion AMI sharing requests, and the Salesforce seasonal release process.
