Recently I've done mobile UX heuristic evaluations for android and iphone apps. I've also redesigned mobile apps based on user feedback and UX best practices. I've designed the UI for multiple wordpress websites, and implemented these designs with CSS. Clients include; Northwest Harvest, VRcade, 55zero, Tilray, and the Army National Guard.
From 2012-2013 I was hired to do various types of design work, including web design, logo design, illustration, and branding. I utilized Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and Dreamweaver to complete the projects. I completed several logos for Northwestern who has become a repeat client due to referrals from former clients across the university.

Turn 10 Studios is a game developer at Microsoft that has developed the Forza Motorsport series for the Xbox, Xbox 360 and Xbox One consoles.
My role at Turn 10 was to develop a UX design process for the studio. I was tasked with developing the process and defining how incorporating UX design between gameplay design and visual design would enhance the design of the game. My deliverables included process documentation that outlined the UX design process which could be followed by future designers at the studio. I defined everything from which software we should be using to how we should be performing our user testing/research. The main goal was to define the UX process which included research, brainstorming/sketching, visual mocks, interactive prototypes, UR testing, and documentation.
Once I defined the process I proved the process by redesigning core features of the game's UI. I also did many designs that focused on adding new functionality to the game and how we could best incorporate the new functionality into our current interaction models. I also did several complete redesigns of the current UI to improve the Forza experience for the user. Design deliverables included sketches, visual mocks, and low-fidelity prototypes. I used Photoshop, Illustrator, Visio, Axure, and Sketchflow to complete my work.

I saw multiple site designs from the beginning to launch and made sure that our products always kept the user in mind. While in China I taught self planned English lessons to Chinese students aged 3-21. The majority of my classes were age 3-12. At my private school my classes included the very basics of English for the young children, along with singing, dancing, coloring and other fun activities to make learning English exciting and interesting to them.
At my public school I taught 2 classes of 50 5th graders. I was their first foreign English teacher and their first experience with fluent spoken English. My job was to grow their oral abilities. The most rewarding part of this job was seeing the improvement my students made. My goal as a teacher was to make my students enjoy learning English, at first many of my students did not enjoy English because they were convinced they couldn't learn it. I used patience and understanding to show them that they could learn if they changed their mindset and believed in themselves. I found that when they started to believe that they could succeed, they would.
I didn't know what to expect when I picked up my life and moved it to the other side of the world to do something completely new to me. What I found was that being a teacher is much more than that. You are a friend, a mentor, and someone that ends up genuinely caring about several hundred crazy miniature people. It was a life changing wonderful experience that I will never forget.
