I want to work on projects that are both intellectually and creatively stimulating. Being a part of something bigger than myself is a great feeling. I love to see a project (or a company, for that matter) rise up from just an idea to a fully-fledged implementation of that idea.

I strive to be a part of every facet of the software development process: from planning to deployment/maintenance and everything in-between. I prefer more open-ended problems where I can use my creativity to come up with new solutions. My desire isn't to simply be a programmer who is told what to do and has to follow strict guidelines on how it is done. Guidelines and well-defined specifications are of course important, but I believe if they are too strict, then there is no room for the product to grow. I want to think outside of the box, not to program inside of one.
