I've always had a passion for creating. Whether that comes in the form of art, technology or anything else, I love learning how something works and applying myself to imagine something new.

As a student at the University of Virginia, I studied computer hardware and software with an emphasis on signal processing while also majoring in music, emphasizing composition and production skills. These majors combined develop me into an extremely technically-minded musician and an engineer that thinks about more than just the systems that I build.

I joined Carta while it was still a series B company with less than 250 employees. While helping to build out everything from core cap table functionality to becoming one of the first engineers on the Carta X team, I got to see many different phases of a company. I learned how to build products and features with a scrappy zero to one mentality, and I also learned how to build quality enterprise software as we scaled one to N.

I'm always interested in finding new ways to create and innovate. Currently freelancing and searching for my next great opportunity.

### Senior Full Stack Engineer - Total Compensation @ Carta

• Developed Carta Total Comp's Offer Letter project from zero to one as one of a team of three to four engineers

• Owned the "WERK" service which was the piece of the 10+ service architecture responsible for executing trades; over $1 billion worth of trades were executed over my system over tens of thousands of orders
• One of four founding engineers on Carta X product that received hundreds of millions of dollars in funding
• Played a major role in building out an Alternative Trading System (ATS) that allowed employees / investors to sell / buy shares of private companies  
• Led the demo data team on Carta X that created test markets, enabling team of 13 engineers to test different scenarios with ease

### Backend Software Engineer - Data Team @ Carta
Jan 2018 – Jan 2018 | San Francisco Bay Area
• One of three engineers on a team designed to fix massive data integrity issues plaguing Carta
• Reduced some of the worst inconsistencies causing cap table errors by multiple thousands (more than 70%) via new features with safeguards and custom scripts to enhance erroneous data
• Built feature for creating new share classes, a core feature for Company administrators
• Built feature for fixing duplicate stakeholders for several major companies including Slack, and presented to entire company

### Full Stack Engineer - Partnerships and Accounts Teams @ Carta

• Joined Carta after college; company had under 50 engineers and just over 200 employees overall
• One of four engineers supporting law firm clients on partnerships team
