Built Rising Tides, a React/Rails online platform dedicated to matching organizations with skilled volunteers.
Worked with The Arctic Institute, an independent, nonprofit Arctic policy and research organization. Led team of five developers and was primary POC for nonprofit.
Deployed a partitioning scheme in Apache Spark for geospatial queries. Improved runtime and reduced redundant partitioning by implementing partition indexing, converting RDDs to R-trees and persisting to disk for reuse.
Migrated team database from Elasticsearch to Druid. Utilized Antlr4 grammar parser to parse and convert Elasticsearch DSL into Druid queries.
