As a Franchise Consultant, I help my clients to save time and money by educating them on opportunities, helping them identify their goals, resources, and objectives, and then leveraging my wide network of business contacts to identify the
Douglas (๐๐๐ฌ๐ญ ๐๐จ๐ข๐ง๐ญ ๐ ๐ซ๐๐, ๐๐จ๐ซ๐ฆ๐๐ซ ๐๐ง๐๐๐ง๐ญ๐ซ๐ฒ ๐จ๐๐๐ข๐๐๐ซ, ๐๐ง๐ ๐๐ง๐ ๐ข๐ง๐๐๐ซ ๐๐ญ ๐ ๐ฅ๐จ๐๐๐ฅ ๐ฎ๐ญ๐ข๐ฅ๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ ๐๐จ๐ฆ๐ฉ๐๐ง๐ฒ) came to me because he wanted to โgive backโ to the community where he grew up while building an income independent of his โW-2โ employer (and potentially transitioning to full-time business ownership).
After analyzing Douglasโs skills, experience, resources, needs, and goals, we determined that planting a new business in his hometown (a depressed community 2 hours from his current home) was not suitable โright out of the gateโ. I developed a written business plan and introduced him to five franchisors with ๐ ๐ซ๐๐๐ญ โ๐ฌ๐๐ฆ๐ข-๐๐๐ฌ๐๐ง๐ญ๐๐โ ๐จ๐ฐ๐ง๐๐ซ๐ฌ๐ก๐ข๐ฉ ๐จ๐ฉ๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐ฌ that were amenable to him expanding into the less affluent area once he had successfully mastered his first location.
The result?
My client selected a โquick oil changeโ concept that helped him purchase a competitor, rebrand it, and already (within a month of opening his first) is planning expansion. And the location in his hometown? He hasnโt given up on that, instead, he has ๐๐๐ฏ๐๐ฅ๐จ๐ฉ๐๐ ๐ ๐ซ๐๐๐ฅ๐ข๐ฌ๐ญ๐ข๐ ๐ฉ๐ฅ๐๐ง ๐ข๐ง ๐ฉ๐๐ซ๐ญ๐ง๐๐ซ๐ฌ๐ก๐ข๐ฉ ๐ฐ๐ข๐ญ๐ก ๐ญ๐ก๐ ๐๐ซ๐๐ง๐๐ก๐ข๐ฌ๐จ๐ซ that protects the equity in his current enterprise.
