# Subul S. > MBA | SWE | BioMedical Engineer Location: San Francisco Bay Area, United States Profile: https://flows.cv/subul Clinical engineering leader passionately working to bridge the gaps at the intersection of healthcare, tech, and poverty alleviation; specifically, utilizing readily available technology to equitably drive clinical outcomes. Currently, Subul collaborates closely with interdisciplinary teams of providers and stakeholders to design & build platforms for long-term patient care. Recent projects include holistic solutions for at-home chronic conditions management which have been adopted by over 700k patients across the US for diseases including diabetes, hypertension, & heart failure. Subul’s interest in health tech equity started early on in her academic career; she earned her BS in BioMedical Engineering (health) from UC Berkeley, with minors in Electrical Engineering & Computer Science (tech), as well as Global Poverty (equity). Additionally, she has several years of experience in academia, working in multiple labs researching point-of-care diagnostics and bioMEMS. She has also completed an MBA specializing in Healthcare from Northern Arizona University, and certificates in Healthcare Program Management and Innovation. Lastly, she is a ProSci certified Change Management Practitioner, and is working on her Lean Six Sigma Green Belt project. By using electrolysis of water to drive flow, we can create controlled insulin (or any drug) delivery in vivo. • Also tested the reverse reaction and its potential as a noninvasive alternative to traditional biopsies. ### Undergraduate Research Assistant @ UC Berkeley College of Engineering Jan 2017 – Jan 2019 | Berkeley, California Michel Maharbiz Lab: • Quantified protein activity and the effects of varying levels of pH on protein enrichment. • Executed protocols and experiments from preparation to data analysis: — Preparation, designing experiments, and defining/iterating/finetuning protocols — Wet lab skills (cleanroom protocols, handling biohazardous/chemical materials + waste, pipetting, etc.) — Fabrication and preparation of BioMEMs and Microfluidic Devices — Data collection using Fluorescence Spectroscopy (fluorescent bonding of antibodies) — Spectroscopy image analysis via ImageJ — Statistical and graphical analyses of data ### Resident Assistant @ University of California, Berkeley Jan 2018 – Jan 2019 | Berkeley, California A skilled peer leader who facilitated the social, academic, and personal integration of students to the residence hall and University, and worked to create an inclusive, socially-just community. • Trained in crisis management, conflict mediation, mental health/suicide ideation, safety/emergency protocols, and building management. • Assisted residents with identifying personal needs and connecting/referring them to counseling or other relevant resources. • Engaged students through one-on-one conversations, community meetings, and strategies that target the needs of the community. Residence Hall Staff Council Representative: • Additional position outside of traditional RA responsibilities • Directly worked with University administration to analyze and pilot future initiatives to improve campus residential life. ### Software Engineer @ Medical Technology at Berkeley Jan 2017 – Jan 2019 | Berkeley, California ### Research Intern @ University of California, Santa Cruz Jan 2014 – Jan 2014 | Santa Cruz, California • Mentored by Melissa B Peacock, PhD and worked in the Kudela lab as part of the High School Summer Internship (HSSI) program • Research internship on marine biology/oceanography (phytoplankton) • Experience with High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), data analysis, data visualization, and basic wet lab work • Presented at the international AGU Fall Conference in December 2014 in San Francisco (see abstract in media) ## Education ### Bachelor of Science - BS in BioMedical Engineering (Concentration: BioMedical Devices) University of California, Berkeley ### Master of Business Administration - MBA in Health Care Administration & Management Northern Arizona University ## Contact & Social - LinkedIn: https://linkedin.com/in/subul - Portfolio: https://cal.berkeley.edu/subul - Portfolio: http://www-bsac.eecs.berkeley.edu/alumni/alumni_zoom?PersonID=1548805838&rurl=&URLnode=94 - Portfolio: https://www.credential.net/profile/subul/wallet --- Source: https://flows.cv/subul JSON Resume: https://flows.cv/subul/resume.json Last updated: 2026-03-29
