I graduated from a CS Master’s program at UC Davis in Spring 2022. Previously, I had completed a B.F.A degree in Painting from California College of the Arts, in which 85% of my tuition was paid for by a scholarship.
Implemented Copilot App chat UX for credits system that was shipped to consumers on Oct 2024 in Australia, New Zealand, Taiwan, Singapore, Thailand, and Malaysia for Word, PPT, Excel and Onenote on multiple platforms, exposing Copilot to an additional ~5.5 million users through a credit system that refreshes every month through an M365 Personal/Family subscription. Credits system is fully released worldwide as of Jan 2025 to consumers and Copilot is now available to ~70 million users with a subscription.

Engineered core UX experience to incorporate Copilot handoff into search box with Copilot zero term suggestions and user queries that will auto execute in Copilot in Word and PPT web when clicked or prompted. The feature has been rolled out to 100% production, exposing Copilot to ~4 million search box users in Word web and ~1.5 million search box users in PPT web. Addition of this new entry point increased Copilot engagement by about 14%.

Increased Copilot engagement by rolling out insert button to 100% production in Word Copilot: 89% increase on web and 20% increase on win32. Just in the month of April 2025, total number of clicks had increased by 8x, amounting to over 400,000 cumulative clicks to-date.

Enhanced insert feature to be "smart" for Word during FHL hackathon and the demo was selected among the top 3 demos to showcase during Office Product Group demo day. Built smart insert and released to production due to its efficiency for extracting relevant info for document insertion and ignoring filler content.

Created UX in Word Copilot that allows users to edit bot responses in a simple, embedded editor within the chat pane for them to revise before copying or inserting the response into the document. Collaborated with other engineers, designers and PMs when polishing the UI/UX based on frequent feedback.
Developed UI/UX for M365 Copilot debug tool using React and Typescript during Microsoft's FHL hackathon. Won 1st place, boosting engineer efficiency by at least 50% with features like 1-click bug reporting and detailed session logs and metrics.

Shipped M365 Copilot for Nov 2023 public release; updated UX after migration to new system architecture. Features include chat history, enterprise search, web search, customized loading strings, and restrictive search banner.

Assisted partner teams in integrating shared UX code for chat history and addressing any issues that arise.
Assisted the professor and other TAs in the course of 230+ students for 20 hours a week.

Held weekly office hours 3 times a week and answered questions through class forums and emails.

Implemented autograders on Gradescope using Python to grade 230+ C++ submissions for each homework assignment and save each TA from ~15 hours of manually grading each assignment.

Prepared discussion material and graded homework, quizzes, projects, and exams.
Used React, Java Spring Boot, and Typescript to improve the efficiency of the Investment Management Onboarding platform (ION) by 50% through using a push-based model.

Collaborated with 3 interns in designing the new system architecture and presenting it to technical leadership.

Implemented websocket connections to allow clients with entitlements to automatically subscribe to specified topics and receive the latest transaction data on the ION user interface.
