Hi! I'm Supriya.

My superpower is creativity. I am a big believer in first principles thinking. Anything I'm thrown into, I make sure my team and I sweat the details and bring our best creative selves to problem solving.

My career was shaped by IBM's design thinking, Apple's craft bar, and Meta/Instagram's insane execution rigor. I am a tinkerer and builder at heart. Currently as a leader, I am driving a design culture shift, turning the design org into builders who ship.

I lead with empathy (people > process), and at the same time bring the high standards to build cool products that are useful and bring humans joy to use.

As a lead on the Instagram & Facebook Shops team, my role entailed forming alignment across the company to establish a product strategy and build unique shopping experience on Instagram & Facebook.

FB Connectivity [2019 - 2020]
- Designed various global systems to bring people online to a faster internet.
- Mentored and coached designers to realize their full potential as designers, and built a high performing design team. 
- Developed and implemented rituals to push for a high product quality bar by defining design systems, user research cadence and a design critique culture for ongoing feedback.

### Product Design Lead @ Apple
Jan 2017 – Jan 2019 | Cupertino, California
Designed the future of Apple’s business products through extensive user research, and built visually rich products that met a high bar of accessibility standards. Built a cross functional team by hiring producers, researchers, product designers to set up 4 pods for each product area.

Jan 2010 – Jan 2017
Led design, development and shipped several products that generated over $10M in revenue across industries such as Travel, Energy & Utilities, Banking etc. These products are being used by pilots, flight attendants, bankers, line technicians and has transformed the way they work.
