Delivered detailed feature specs for multiple components within that architecture including ranking & relevance of search results, instrumentation and query serving API Increased the scope of Bing Instrumentation and application of that data: Identified numerous data points that can be collected by Bing clients. Worked across the organization to develop applications for that data ranging from crawler efficiency improvements, edge caching design to multimedia content discovery. Utilized the instrumentation infrastructure to conduct A/B testing and also developed reporting scorecards to facilitate data driven decisions. Helped Bing gain 3% additional US search market share: Worked with multiple OEMs and ISVs to re-design deployment, OOBE (Out of Box Experience) and updates of the Bing Toolbar. The new design drastically reduced install and update problems. It also doubled the product activation during first run experience. I also helped ship search default integration and protection for Bing.
