# Taite Nazifi > Software Engineer Location: United States, United States Profile: https://flows.cv/taite I take things from zero to hero and hero to champion across a wide array of business verticals and technical domains and have a great time doing it! Right now I’m focused on distributed storage systems and LLM training. ## Work Experience ### Staff Software Engineer @ Bishop Fox Jan 2025 – Present ### Senior Software Engineer @ Bishop Fox Jan 2023 – Jan 2025 Built the distributed data layer for real-time monitoring on attack surfaces ### Founder @ Zifi Labs Jan 2022 – Present Working with global AI labs to push the frontier of AI capabilities forward in engineering tasks. Helping F100 companies build backend systems mostly in the observability space ranging from asset monitoring to revenue integrity and sales pipelines. ### Software Engineer @ Datadog Jan 2021 – Jan 2023 | New York, New York, United States I made distributed querying and storage engines faster, cheaper, and more fault-tolerant. I helped secure several $XXM/Year clients like Coinbase and Fox by load testing their usage and reducing latency through a single-flighting approach at the query building layer. I treated 6 notable SEV 1-3 incidents as the on-call for all pages related to metric querying, with both a 0.001% and 0.05% case (hardware failure and corrupted read-replica in GCP). I configured intra-zonal affinity for our pods, cutting our query network latencies in half with AZ failure recovery for pods to evenly fill in to the remaining two AZs. ### Co-Founder @ Splytsheet Jan 2020 – Jan 2021 Solved a transparency issue in the music industry by creating Splytsheet, an app that makes creating split sheets easy. Got to work closely with Dub Shakes, and e-meet 50 cent I used Flutter, AWS Serverless, Postgres & Redis ### Founding Engineer @ Dive Jan 2020 – Jan 2021 Created Dive's technical product with two engineers. Raised sponsorship for development costs. Dive’s idea was to create an experience that allows users to curate and share digital media from any content stream on the internet, you could stitch together those fragments captured from our tooling, be it a Tweet/Screenshot/blurb/blog post/link/whatever, and you would use our tool to capture it, it would show up in your fragment list, and you could stitch together fragments to form a "thread" of thought. The idea was really well received, but Google added similar features into their Chrome browser which caused us to pivot to adopting more social features. I added a recommendation engine using Neo4j and Cypher so we could recommend fragments from other people's threads to your threads if your thread met a certain fragment similarity threshold. ### Machine Learning Engineer @ Amadeus Jan 2020 – Jan 2020 • Analyzed features of a dataset and created an algorithm used in Amadeus' Revenue Integrity platform for predicting individual sources of revenue loss correctly 78% of the time from a 50% baseline. • My algorithm was part of a larger contract renewal with Hertz, saving Hertz over $7,000,000 in annual revenue loss. ### Founding Software Engineer @ SibylSoft Jan 2019 – Jan 2020 Created a Cyber-Security Risk Management SaaS using Next.js and TypeScript with custom full-stack tenantry for clients like Delta Dental. Aimed to master several AWS tools such as AWS Fargate, Cognito, CloudFormation, AWS CI/CD, and Lambda ### Systems Architect @ Tech Core Jan 2018 – Jan 2020 I developed the cloud infrastructure that allows hundreds of data science and data modeling applications at the UofA and Eller college to deploy to the web with a single click using .NET and Azure. I migrated our on-prem servers to servers hosted on Azure during a school week. ### Full Stack Developer @ Tech Core Jan 2017 – Jan 2019 Had the honor of developing many Tech Core applications for departments across the University of Arizona, Penn State University, and the Eller College. Most web apps were .NET Core, the mobile apps were built with React Native hitting a .NET Core HTTP API. ### Teaching Assistant ENTR400 @ University of Arizona - Eller College of Management Jan 2019 – Jan 2019 • Guided students on their software products from a high level overview to implementation. • Developed the servers, pipelines, and database schemas to host apps developed in class. ### Section Leader @ Department of Computer Science at The University of Arizona Jan 2017 – Jan 2018 Hired by the Computer Science department to teach one class every week for students on: CSc 110: Intro to Python CSc 120: Python and Data Structures CSc 335: Object Oriented Programming and Design Principles in Java Graded programming assignments, quizzes, and tests. Taught fundamental and intermediate programming topics covering strings, recursion, good programming practices, up to OOP, design principles, and algorithms. ## Education ### Master of Science - MS in Management Information Systems University of Arizona, Eller College of Management Jan 2019 – Jan 2020 ### Bachelor of Science - BS in Computer Science University of Arizona Jan 2016 – Jan 2019 ## Contact & Social - LinkedIn: https://linkedin.com/in/taite --- Source: https://flows.cv/taite JSON Resume: https://flows.cv/taite/resume.json Last updated: 2026-03-22
