Full-Stack Software Engineer on the Backend/Admin Team tasked with maintaining data integrity and building features that facilitate district and school wide setup on the Seesaw platform.
Pandemic Note - Seesaw experienced rapid growth during the COVID-19 pandemic when schools across the globe started using the platform for remote learning.
Highlights:
Roster Sync Dashboard
Helped build a dashboard that gives district admins power to transfer and update their own district data into Seesaw. It also highlights data transfer issues and how to solve them
Vastly improved onboarding times for all users. Setups that took weeks now take a few days or less
Transitioned legacy data transfer logic to support syncing multiple schools in one district
Achieved faster data update times by also implementing smaller delta syncs (only applying data updates)
Worked closely with Support Teams during rollout to address all incoming bugs and data issues
Data Resolution CSV Tool
Created a lightweight CSV data update tool that allows support teams to fix the Top 10 data issues without Engineering involvement
The tool now solves 75% of reoccurring support requests and data issues
Creative Tools Undo/Redo
Implemented undo/redo functionality on our primary product feature, Creative Tools
This is a powerful but kid-friendly version of a “slides” feature you may find in other products
Handled undo/redo of inter-page manipulations (add, delete, reorder, etc.) and element additions to the page itself
