# Tanvi Patil > Product Designer | UX/UI, Interaction Design & Creative Strategy | Cognitive Science @ UC Berkeley Location: Berkeley, California, United States Profile: https://flows.cv/tanvipatil Hi, I’m Tanvi! I’m a Product Designer with a background in UX, creative strategy, and cognitive science, currently finishing my degree at UC Berkeley. I’m especially interested in designing thoughtful, user-centered digital experiences that balance clarity, storytelling, and real-world impact. I’ve worked across startups, nonprofits, and consulting projects — from freelance UX design for a consumer-facing tech product to leading a multidisciplinary team as Project Lead on a self-guided digital tour experience for The Women’s Building in San Francisco. Through these experiences, I’ve collaborated closely with founders, engineers, and community partners to take ideas from early concept to real, launched products. At the core of my design approach is empathy — taking the time to understand people’s needs, contexts, and constraints, and translating those insights into intentional design decisions. My work is informed by systems thinking, clear communication, and a strong foundation in cognitive science, as well as experience teaching and leading teams. I’m currently seeking entry-level Product Design or UX roles where I can continue learning, contributing, and building meaningful products alongside thoughtful, collaborative teams ## Work Experience ### UX Designer @ LiveWine Jan 2024 – Present | California, United States Designed UX flows and interfaces for LiveWine, a wine discovery and education platform, as a freelance designer Collaborated closely with founders and developers to iterate on product features from concept to implementation Created wireframes and high-fidelity designs to improve navigation, content clarity, and user engagement Adapted designs based on feedback, technical constraints, and evolving product requirements in a fast-paced startup environment ### Director of Marketing @ Invention Corps Jan 2024 – Jan 2026 | Berkeley, California, United States ### Marketing Manager @ Artists in Resonance, Berkeley Jan 2025 – Jan 2025 | Berkeley, California, United States ### Project Lead @ The Women's Building Jan 2025 – Jan 2025 | San Francisco, California, United States Led the design and development of a self-guided digital tour experience for The Women’s Building, a historic nonprofit community space in San Francisco. Inspired by bento web design principles, I developed a fresh and modern visual style that catered to the website's target demographic. Using Figma, I created and applied components with variants for the home page and search page, starting from wireframes provided by the business owner. I designed these pages with a user-centric approach, leveraging auto-layout to ensure a responsive and adaptable experience. In close collaboration with the business owner, I gathered insights and feedback to align the design with the specific needs and preferences of the target audience. This process allowed me to refine and expand a comprehensive style guide, ensuring a cohesive and engaging visual identity across the website and facilitating an iterative design process. Additionally, I gained experience in prototyping, creating interactive previews to demonstrate the user journey. The culmination of my internship involved pitching the final design concept and style guide to the Product and Engineering team, facilitating a smooth transition from design to development. ### Design Consultant @ RE:PEAT LivingLab Jan 2024 – Jan 2024 | Berkeley, California, United States [Via Invention Corps, Berkeley] ## Education ### Bachelor of Arts - BA in Cognitive Science University of California, Berkeley ### University of California, Berkeley ## Contact & Social - LinkedIn: https://linkedin.com/in/tanviipatil --- Source: https://flows.cv/tanvipatil JSON Resume: https://flows.cv/tanvipatil/resume.json Last updated: 2026-04-08
