When I first began college at MIT, I searched for a career path that would allow me to balance my interest in understanding complex, technical problems with my desire to create imaginative, unique work. I found that I could interweave both these different sides of myself in computer science.

With the classes and projects I took on throughout my coursework at MIT, I managed to marry these two different sides of myself through an overall interest in user interfaces and design. My Senior Undergraduate Advanced Project in particular, allowed me to conceptualize and propose a creative, technical solution targeted at a very specific and overlooked user group.

Since my MIT freshman year, I have cultivated a background in web development. Through my work with groups at the MIT Media Lab and my internship with Leaf, I became aware of the possibilities web programming presented in creating easily accessible and creative solutions to a variety of different problems people face. The work I contributed to my Adobe internship reinforced my love for tackling complex software problems and my motivation to contribute to technical solutions that drive people forward and leave an impact.

Returning from time off, I have joined as a Software Engineer with the EdTech company Course Hero to pursue software engineering opportunities that will allow me to use my background and skills to not only solve interesting technical problems, but also aim to leave a positive impact on people's personal growth.

-Proposed, storyboarded, and designed the project concept of a mobile interface intended for the daily management of depression
-App assesses user's level of depression and provides catered suggestions, tracks depression levels over time, stores a safety plan for suicide prevention, and enables user to send alerts to emergency contacts
-Implemented the front-end with a combination of React.js, CSS, and Node.js; integrated app with back-end service Firebase

### Technical Intern for Web Publishing & Monetization Group @ Adobe

- Investigated the Amazon Web Services data-warehousing solution Redshift as a viable alternative to a MySQL setup
- Prototyped a Redshift cluster and set up a database architecture and various warehouse settings
- Migrated the team’s production data and 15 SQL queries to Redshift using command line tools
- Benchmarked the query times against MySQL to show an overall exponential improvement, and implemented a randomized testing utility in Python for measuring Redshift’s performance

- Worked on the front end of a site used for small local businesses to keep track of their staff, menu, customers, and receipts.
- Added smaller features, helped debugging, and aided in the Q&A for the site

- Worked on an online tool written in Django that hosts a range of apps to quantify and observe productive economic structures and the development of countries
- Developed the concept and building framework of an app for the tool that extracted economic data for different countries using Worldbank API, which then plotted and animated the scatterplots of data so that country development could be observed from 1960 to modern day

- Worked on an iPhone adventure/game app “On the Run” to provide motivation for running, utilizing GPS technology
- Parsed the app's log file data into a Python usable format
