Building next-generation ambient home infrastructure.
Technology that learns from its environment and adapts quietly over time.
Stealth, for now.
2024 — 2025
Oakland, California, United States
Led end-to-end mechanical development of a first-of-its-kind robotic system for environmental remediation — enabling high-throughput processing of unstructured, abrasive, and corrosive materials. Delivered a field-tested pilot platform in under 8 months, deployed at a California demo site.
• Powertrain Design: Designed high-torque belt-driven drivetrain systems, optimizing shaft geometry, coupling interfaces, and shear loading for durability, serviceability, and thermal reliability.
• Thermal & Structural Engineering: Performed thermal, fatigue, and torque calculations across critical subsystems, using FEA where necessary to validate structural performance under high-load, high-temperature, and cyclic operating conditions.
• Material Handling Systems: Developed modular reactor and conveyance subsystems for abrasive material flow, incorporating field-serviceable interfaces and embedded cooling for system longevity.
• Cross-Functional Integration: Directed mechanical-electrical integration, including VFD/motor pair selection, sensor layout, thermal subsystem packaging, and wire routing in high-contamination environments.
• CAD & Supply Chain Strategy: Owned CAD architecture, BOM, and sourcing — balancing custom and off-the-shelf components to accelerate prototyping and manage long-lead risks.
• Assembly & Deployment: Led forklift-assisted assembly and technician workflows, ensuring safe, precise installation of heavy mechanical components during pilot build-up.
• Future System Planning: Evaluated next-gen drivetrain architectures (planetary, inline) to improve torque density, reduce footprint, and cut cost for future revisions.
Departed to launch Monstera Labs (stealth robotics).
