• Contributed to the development of an on-premises analysis tool that resulted in a multi-million dollar contract in the public sector
• Led the backend effort for the design, building, and maintenance of PrimerLabs, a publicly-facing demo website where Primer showcases various engines
• While working closely with the product team, designed and built the backend for a product called Explore, which allows users to leverage relationships in the data to build a more structured search query, and is used extensively to demo Primer’s capabilities. Implemented an ETL process for ingesting data into Explore
• Contributed to various components in our Analyze product, which is a collection of microservices that make up a document pipeline that ingests ~300k news articles daily and exposes insights to our users. Some of the components worked on include web apps, worker apps, databases, and real-time monitors
• Encouraged and implemented best engineering practices during active development such as unit testing, smoke testing in CI, and ensuring code is maintainable with clear comments/documentation
• Contributed to building a POC product for one of the big four accounting firms where the goal was to monitor for supply-chain risks. Contributions include designing and maintaining a web app, a pipeline, and a result store
• Spent ~20 weeks over the course of the three years being the live-site primary engineer and dealing with production issues in real-time

• Contributed to the development of the Parasail Health web application on the Django framework. Helped implement what became the core product, Parasail ProPatient, where patients are offered 0% interest payment plans with affordable monthly payments to pay out-of-pocket medical expenses.
• While on a continuous deployment schedule, worked on numerous parts of the technology stack, which includes application development on Python/Django using a PostgreSQL database.
• Contributed to the maintenance of the server and deployment architecture.
• Integrated with various third party API’s, such as Stripe, Plaid, TransUnion, WePay, SendGrid, and numerous lender API’s for payment processing, income analysis, credit data collection, automated email/text communication, and loan offer generation.
• Built and designed API endpoints, both partner-facing and internal, for various needs across the application, such as webhooks for Stripe, bill upload for hospitals/clinics, offer creation, etc.
• Designed, built, owned, and maintained an internal ledger system that keeps track of patient payments, payment processing fees, platform fees, and remittance information.
• Built our partner dashboard that displays individual patient progress through the Parasail application process, along with remittance information so that partners have full insight of their individual funnels and where their payments originate from.
• Implemented both unit tests and integration tests using Django’s test framework.
• Created detailed documentation for our API endpoints using Postman’s documentation system.
• Contributed to and maintained an internally built ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) process that leverages the pandas package along with Lambda to run periodically and update our analytics database (RedShift) from PII-stripped data in our application database (PostgreSQL).
• Built and owned a servicing module that sends patients payment reminders and information regarding their payment plan.
