# Taruni Paleru 🔜 HumanX SF > Product Manager Location: New York, New York, United States Profile: https://flows.cv/taruni As Hathora's first PM, I’m bringing real-time infrastructure from Gaming into AI. Our platform powers millions of concurrent containers, and with our Elastic Metal architecture that blends bare metal with cloud, we help teams save approximately 70% on compute and 90% on bandwidth. I'm currently working with design partners focused on AI workloads and can guarantee at least 40% cost savings compared to hyperscalers. I joined Hathora when we were focused solely on live game servers. I led the expansion into CI pipelines for game builds and signed our first pilot customers. Now I’m returning to my machine learning roots to explore how models can be hosted on our platform with no trade-offs in performance or cost. Before Hathora, I was at AWS on the EC2 Capacity Planning team, building data pipelines to solve large-scale supply chain challenges. Prior to that, I trained NLP models as a Data Scientist at Allstate. I studied Statistics and Computer Science at UIUC with a focus on machine learning, and I've always worked at the intersection of data, infrastructure, and product. I care deeply about solving the right problems, and I move fast to turn ideas into things that ship. ## Work Experience ### Product Manager @ Fireworks AI Jan 2026 – Present | New York, New York, United States ### Senior Product Manager @ Hathora Jan 2022 – Present | New York, New York, United States Building a server orchestration platform for high compute workloads. ### Business Intelligence Engineer II @ Amazon Web Services (AWS) Jan 2019 – Jan 2022 | Seattle, Washington • Started as the first engineer on the EC2 Capacity BI team to drive visibility into capacity shortages and mitigate customer pain • Developed rich visualizations by working closely with stakeholders to respond to systemic flaws in forecasting and supply chain pipeline to drive down costs for EC2 • Equipped leadership with self-service tools and dashboards to make more data-driven decisions ### Data Scientist @ Allstate Jan 2018 – Jan 2019 | Greater Seattle Area • Developed topic models using NLP to comb through resume data and develop employee skill profiles • Created KMeans and Hierarchical clustering models to categorize skill groups to identify transferable skills and roles within the company ### Engagement Partner @ OTCR Consulting Jan 2017 – Jan 2017 • Developed internal initiatives such as a data analytics workshop to help train consultants on how to use tools such as excel, R, and Python to serve our clients more effectively • Organized events to meet with consulting firms to help members with networking and recruiting opportunities • Developed a mentorship program to help students utilize resources within the firm and alumni contacts • Held positions from new hire consultant, consultant, project manager, and partner in the organization ### Project Manager @ OTCR Consulting Jan 2017 – Jan 2017 Lead a team of 5 consultants to develop a full stack website for a start-up. ### Consultant @ OTCR Consulting Jan 2015 – Jan 2016 | Urbana-Champaign, Illinois Area New Hire • Helped our client receive over 3 million in funding by designing a comprehensive market entry strategy for different industries as well as created an investment profile • Presented recommendations to help our client develop a thorough marketing strategy & revenue model • Caught hold of a larger market share for our client by conducting multiple case studies to help understand the weaknesses and strengths of our client’s competitors as well as the market Consultant • Generated ideas for a social meet-up app in order to make our client differentiate themselves compared to other companies in the app market as well as gain the largest market share for social apps. • Conducted extensive research on revenue models for apps and determined the best type of revenue generation • Transformed the marketing strategy of our clients social networking app to target a larger audience • Helped increase user retention rates by suggesting different in app loyalty programs ### Data Science Intern @ BlueLabs: Analytics, Data, Technology Jan 2016 – Jan 2016 • Used R and predictive modeling packages to build models on data sets to help clients leverage their information on voters to make data driven and statistical campaign strategy • Worked in MySQL to query a database with over 300 million tuples to pull data to build statistical models • Enhanced predictive models to improve accuracy and precision to over 80% on a test data set • Cleaned data using Excel and learned to use conditional formatting and pivot tables to understand data ### Software Development Intern @ CEB Jan 2015 – Jan 2016 • Developed a Natural Language Processing tool to comb through a terabyte of data to gain insights for clients • Using data visualization tools like MicroStrategy & Hadoop to help make a product for client interface • Implementing key word tagging, sentiment and topic analysis in order to help CEOs in Fortune 500 companies understand their company’s data in the news to help them understand how to react to industry changes ### Sales Analyst Intern @ Venga Jan 2014 – Jan 2014 • Delivered statistical data on how to improve our product to increase our customer ratings for our product • Leveraged technical skills to increase the number of clients by 30 locations by Developing a networking strategy for the CEO using LinkedIn scrapping to help him reach out to restaurant owners • Handled large amounts of data to increase accuracy on user profiles to yield stronger targeted marketing ## Education ### Bachelor's Degree in Statistics and CS University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign ### High School Diploma George C Marshall High School ### International Baccalaureate ## Contact & Social - LinkedIn: https://linkedin.com/in/tarunipaleru --- Source: https://flows.cv/taruni JSON Resume: https://flows.cv/taruni/resume.json Last updated: 2026-03-29
