•Led the architecture and development of a scalable & automated ground controls software system for an orbital launch vehicle rocket.
•Successfully integrated a full stack ground station app which directly controlled, logged, and automated rocket hardware systems to conduct various rocket systems integration tests, which included live rocket engine test firings.
•Integrated a redundancy enabled, scalable, high throughput live data and video streaming system into the ground station full stack app by creating a UDP downlink, TCP uplink, and WebSocket relay system that managed all data/commands between the client and rocket avionics.
•Leveraged load balancing by building scalable cache server microservices to enable high throughput database read/write for critical data.
•Worked with TypeScript/JavaScript/Node.js, React, Express, WebSocket, PostgreSQL, Redis, Python, and assorted AWS cloud services including: Lambda, Cognito, API Gateway, EC2, S3, RDS, and more.
