I am currently a software engineer with a passion for building reliable, performant tools that address interesting problems. This has ranged from shepherding a payment processing system to process $1.5B, leading the implementation of third party integrations, adding new payment flows, and being tasked with the onboarding and mentorship of our newest team members.

I've come to enjoy working with PostgreSQL, Ruby, Python, and Javascript (mostly knockout) professionally however learning and working in new languages and technologies excites me. 

When I'm not working, I'm probably either in the woods, or on a river. I believe the dichotomy between spending time outdoors and writing software provides a much needed balance, ensuring I'm doing my best work.

Ride Report is a startup focused on helping cities managed shared micro mobility programs. I led the technical teams responsible for designing and building the most impactful customer facing features and the corresponding backend data aggregation systems to support these features.

- Advocated for and led a team of engineers to develop and ship a privacy protecting data pipeline for visualizing geospatial route data, leading to a significant increase in contract sales.
- Designed and led the implementation of the reporting and metrics ETL pipeline.
- Identified and led projects to address customer needs around data backfilling and metric generation to support future scaling needs.
- Responsible for third party feed integrations and working to address partner data feed issues.
- Worked directly with customers to better understand needs and identify product solutions to best utilize limited engineering resources.

I built tools for landlords and renters to bring their relationship online. I primarily worked in Ruby with PostgreSQL, and a Javascript (Knockout) frontend.

- Planned and led the implementation of Cozy Pay, a way for renters to pay landlords not
signed up on Cozy, including everything from seamlessly integrating it with our existing
payment processing system, to PDF rendering and physical mail tracking.
- Led the implementation of multiple other features including document signing, ...
- Extended and optimized our payment processing system responsible for moving more
than $1.5B in rent payments each year.
- Provided mentorship to team members including pairing, code reviews, and work
scoping and planning.
- The primary engineer on-call for triage and escalations of particularly urgent or
difficult production incidents.

Cozy was acquired by CoStar Group/Apartments.com in 2018.
