Here's a brief summary of my career:
* 10 years of customer service industry, from fine dine restaurants to lead sales associate at BBY.
* Found what I was passion for computer programming at young age of 24.
* Self taught programmer till I found Turing School of Software and Design in 2015, which was a life changing experience that I'm very grateful for! Went through what is now considered the "backend program"
* After graduating I was hired by Turing to help start the Frontend Program (though they were well on their way, already 2 modules done out of 4). This was an amazing experience because I ended up teaching myself everything I know today about Javascript/Node/React/Ember/Webpack. Teaching is still to this day the most difficult and rewarding job I've had!
* Hired on as a Software Engineer at Healthgrades and been here since! Agile, scrum environment with a great staff.
* Programming is my passion and dream job because I have the privilege to continuously learn, share knowledge and solve complex problems.

Technologies I enjoy working with: 
     *ReactJS, JavaScript, Node, HTML/CSS, Webpack, Babel, Ruby, Ruby on Rails, JQuery, OAuth, PostgreSQL, SQL, 
     ORM's: ActiveRecord and Sequelize
     *CSS preprocessor:  Less, Sass
     *Testing: Jest, Mocha, Chia, Enzyme, Jasmine, Rspec, Minitest, Selenium
     *I'm currently working on learning AWS (S3, EC2, Lambda Serverless)

Volunteering work I've done:
   *Director of Internal Operations for the University of Kansas Dance Marathon where we raised over        $30,000 in its first year for Children’s Hospitals.
   *Event planner for the Mentors In Lives of Kids (MILK) program where I created and ran their holiday     event.
   *While abroad in Egypt, I volunteered at a Christian church helping to build a recreational climbing wall.
   * Pair programmer for Turing Students
