Director of Product Development
Manage a team of product designers, architects and engineers to transform the construction industry and traditional architecture by developing a prefabricated, environmentally sound building “kit of parts” that can be assembled on site.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Led the new design for an enterprise data center, including managing Architects and structural engineering teams. Manage the team 3D modeling of an entire building system, including structural and architectural shop drawings.
Implemented PLM and BOM management for complex structures requiring thousands of parts in varying configurations internally and for external vendors.
Created complex, detailed assembly instructions for use by construction crews to assemble the building.
Supervised manufacturing and on-site construction.
KEY ACHIEVEMENTS:
Led a major redesign of Project Frog’s product offering. Reduced cost of the building 30% by optimizing components while increasing thermal and acoustic performance.
Played a key role in designing the Golden Gate Pavilion. Cut on-site construction time by four months, eliminated almost all onsite waste and reduced change orders 75%.
Designed a patent pending LED light for integration into Project Frog’s building kits that offers double the efficiency of standard LED lights while achieving manufacturing costs 35% below typical manufacturing costs.

Santa Clara, CA
Senior Mechanical Design Engineer
Managed all new product design phases – from concept to manufacturing – for the developer of cutting-edge contact-less payment solutions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITES:
Employed SolidWorks and AutoCAD to turn hand drawn sketches into 3D solid models, as well as to provide engineering design for injection-molded plastics, sheet metal parts and flexible printed circuits.
Developed and modified prototypes, including rapid prototyping with SLA, FDM and soft tooling technologies.
Supervised final production and assembly in China, including remote and on-site management of component manufacture and product assembly, engineering change order implementation and database administration.
KEY ACHIEVEMENTS:
Named inventor on numerous US Design Patents directed toward novel aspects of contact-less payment devices.
Designed widely adopted RFID credit card readers featured in many MasterCard and Visa TV commercials nationwide.
Created a more robust and cost-effective way to integrate contact-less credit card reader into standard POS systems.
