Check out my GitHub: https://github.com/tejasbadadare ## Work Experience ### Staff Software Engineer @ Douro Labs Jan 2024 – Present ### Staff Software Engineer @ Verkada Jan 2024 – Jan 2024 | San Francisco Bay Area Growth Platform ### Senior Software Engineer @ Verkada Jan 2022 – Jan 2024 | San Francisco Bay Area ### Senior Member Of Technical Staff @ Phyt.Health Jan 2021 – Jan 2022 | San Francisco Bay Area Early engineer at Phyt. We are improving patient outcomes by bringing computer vision and an end-to-end holistic care system to the Physical Therapy space. • Wrote foundational backend code for several systems from scratch. Collaborated with the product team to produce use cases and requirements. Distilled those into data models and APIs, wrote an extensive library of tests, and scaled the system to meet rising demand. Maintained the database, message queue, and API server. • Designed and implemented a robust multi-tenancy system for patient health records, providing strong isolation between tenants at the database level. The system automatically scopes tenant access while remaining transparent to developers, enabling them to write features and fix bugs without worrying about tenancy. • Replaced a manual deployment with a fully automated CI/CD pipeline on Github Actions and AWS ECS. ### MTS Software Engineer @ Salesforce Jan 2020 – Jan 2021 | San Francisco Bay Area • Maintained and built features around one of the largest and oldest database tables at Salesforce for the next-gen Revenue Cloud CPQ product. ### AMTS Software Engineer @ Salesforce Jan 2019 – Jan 2020 | San Francisco • Co-designed and created a distributed system to gate tenant-specific access to a given service, which is now widely used by many Salesforce microservices as a data security break-glass protocol. • Published a patent for the underlying stateless mutual authentication technology in this system. ### Software Engineering Intern @ Microsoft Jan 2018 – Jan 2019 | Seattle, Washington • Rewrote the web server that delivers the Microsoft Teams app in .NET Core and redesigned its deployment to achieve higher capacity and greater flexibility by leveraging Docker and Kubernetes, leading to a 90% reduction in infrastructure operating costs. ### Software Engineering Intern @ Salesforce Jan 2018 – Jan 2018 | San Francisco Bay Area - Wrote a Docker container Orchestrator based on Kubernetes that reliably deploys and dynamically scales the micro-services and distributed systems that comprise the Salesforce Lightning Data backend. - Redesigned the existing deployment workflow to migrate from Docker Swarm on a bare-metal datacenter to a highly-available and easily scalable cluster on AWS Elastic Kubernetes Service. ### CSE Head Tutor @ University of California San Diego Jan 2016 – Jan 2018 | La Jolla, CA - Headed the undergrad TA team and authored, directed technical labs in CSE 110 (Software Engineering), a project-based course that teaches software development skills. - Held lab hours, mentored students, created course materials for CSE 12 (Data Structures and OOP) and CSE 15L (Software Tools & Techniques) under Prof. Gillespie. ### Software Engineering Intern @ Salesforce Jan 2017 – Jan 2017 | San Francisco Bay Area - Designed and implemented a fast Autosuggest search feature that delivers intelligent autocompletions, similar to Google Instant, at typeahead speed (<100 ms) at a big data scale. Resulted in a 20x improvement over previous speeds of 2000+ ms. - Parallelized and horizontally scaled Autosuggest using Apache Spark and a Redis Cluster distributed system to improve build time from 2 hrs to 10 mins per million records, a 12x improvement. ### Software Engineering Intern @ Cloud Lending Solutions Jan 2016 – Jan 2016 | San Mateo, CA - Implemented functionality to integrate the company’s leasing platform (CL Lease) with QuickBooks Online. (Apex and SOQL in the Salesforce environment) - Developed an integration between Salesforce and QuickBooks Enterprise that allowed both applications to communicate and synchronize data through a proxy Java JAX server, eliminating multiple data entry. (Java, JAX-WS, SOAP APIs, and Apex) - Developed an integration between CL Lease and FinancialForce Accounting that supported pushing and synchronizing data entries across both platforms. (Apex and SOQL in the Salesforce environment) - Created a dynamic and extensible Tiered Round Robin algorithm that dynamically and fairly assigns investors to a specific loan based on the investment criteria, loan details, and past history of assignments through a dynamic Round Robin. (Apex and SOQL in the Salesforce environment) - Designed and developed an extensive library of unit tests over 3 months that increased the code coverage of the codebase. (Apex Unit Testing, JIRA) ### Robotics Instructor @ KidSmart LLC Jan 2013 – Jan 2015 | San Mateo, CA Launched and headed the robotics program in KidSmart summer camps.
Designed and taught LEGO robotics models and programming to students, taught over 50 student per week with 10 original robot designs and programs, many of whom went on to compete in national LEGO robotics circuits. ## Education ### Bachelor of Science - BS in Computer Science UC San Diego ## Contact & Social - LinkedIn: https://linkedin.com/in/tejasbadadare --- Source: https://flows.cv/tejasbadadare JSON Resume: https://flows.cv/tejasbadadare/resume.json Last updated: 2026-04-01
