I also managed the work schedules of around 30 student trainers. I was selected to lead my peers based on demonstrated leadership and shop skills. In the role of shop trainer, my primary responsibility was one-on-one training for new students on the Bridgeport Mill, the lathe, and other shop machines. I headed two design projects. The primary project involved redesigning Ford's shop training protocol and creating supplemental training videos (this project was related to my position as a Segal Shop Trainer). The secondary project involved building a turn signal adapter for a stroke survivor. I also assisted on projects headed by my coworkers. I worked on a variety of mechanical and biomedical engineering projects, including one that involved temporary fitting devices for prosthesis. ### Program Management Intern, Product Development @ Ford Motor Company Jan 2015 – Jan 2015 | Michigan Assembly Plant - Wayne, MI As an intern in Ford's Product Development at Ford, I worked on program management on the 2016 model year Focus and C-Max launch. I led the change from a base mirror to an electrochromic rear view mirror for upper end models on the 17 model year Focus. This required me to define the problem and complexity with support of part engineers, plant, and suppliers. I aligned suppliers and the manufacturing plant, and defended for cost approval from the chief engineer with the intention to complete the change control process. Ultimately, we did not implement the change due to high costs. Additionally, I integrated into the program management team and worked on pre-production builds and validation testing, change control, issue management and risk mitigation, part shortages and lineside support. ### Engineering Intern @ ITW Jan 2014 – Jan 2014 | Mokena, Illinois At ITW, my responsibilities focused on the development of the 4th generation capless refueling product. I performed root-cause analysis to improve product reliability and performance and optimized the design to meet safety critical EPA requirements.
