Worked within all levels of the app, from implementing React components and Redux models in the frontend, to creating migrations and updating Django models in the backend, to managing workers for async tasks in AWS. Successfully executed the flex discount system launch, the Segment integration, and the Braze migration by the given deadlines, despite team flux. ### Software Engineer @ Movi Healthcare Jan 2020 – Jan 2021 | Charleston, South Carolina, United States Worked with the Movi team on designing their ambulance ordering/dispatching software used by hospitals and transport providers across the US. Created and updated front and back end features using an Angular/Node/MongoDB stack. Helped develop the payer rules system that would automatically determine the responsible party given a patient's insurance information and trip type. Used MongoDB's BI connector to add Mongo view tables as data sources to Tableau. Helped test new features during the release cycle, assisted code review, and resolved timeout issues stemming from slow queries/inefficient processes. ### Software Engineer @ Rhinogram Jan 2020 – Jan 2020 Worked with the Rhinogram team on their telehealth service, which allowed practices to communicate and schedule appointments with their patients in a user-friendly and secure way, with full integration with their existing EMR service. Implemented front end features in React/Redux using Invision prototypes as the styling guide Implemented back end features using Node integrated with a variety of AWS modules, including SQS, EC2 instances, and Aurora. Headed implementation of integration work for document uploads, which allowed users to upload pdfs directly to their EMR service from the application. The development required a full application and approval process from each third party company used for handling the connection. Optimized SQL queries and route workflows to solve scaling issues as they were discovered, as well as monitoring individual query efficiency using AWS services. ### Full Stack Engineer @ Questis, Inc Jan 2018 – Jan 2020 | Charleston, South Carolina, United States Worked as a member of the Questis team developing MyQuestis, a B2B application that focused on creating a scalable, quality user experience across numerous organizations, each with their own custom configurations for the website’s features and unique branding. Helped develop the querying model used by the application, implementing the mechanism for eager-loading multiple related tables. Designed and implemented the email queuing and delivery system, as well as the email templating system that allowed for automatic variable interpolation based on user data. Helped design the inheritance system used for content management and delivery in both the front and back end. Solved scaling issues related to raw sql queries in api calls and wrote the queries used in the application's reports. Integrated third party apis into the frontend of the application, as well as communicating with their teams in order to debug and troubleshoot issues related to them.
