Sol-X is a rapidly growing start-up in the maritime industry focusing on behavioral based safety and wearable technology. By leveraging wearables and location tracking, Sol-X is digitizing and improving the control of work onboard oil and shipping tankers by creating a proprietary permit to work system.
â—Ź Worked as a founding member and engineer to expand the team from 4 engineers to 18 after transitioning from BCGDV to an LLC.
â—Ź Lead Developer of the form template and configuration system used to drive the SAFEVUE.ai permit to work system for Control of Work.
â—Ź Lead the development of entry displays, entry and exit tracking, and gas reader alerts onboard oil tankers for the Pump Room, Compressor Room, and Enclosed Space Entry. Managed a team of 6 (1 design, 1 PM, 4 engineers).
â—Ź Refactored the entire client application from React-Native application into a PWA using React. Focused on TDD and took the client application from 0 to > 90% unit test coverage along with integration tests using JEST and Mocha.
â—Ź Worked with a team to build an online client portal for PowerBI reporting and ship to shore office approval.
â—Ź Experience in constructing the business process mapping, functional requirements, technical requirements, and engineering playbooks for onboarding clients to Azure and the SAFEVUE.ai form template system for Control of Work.
